Cad-Cam Technology

Our laboratory worked with exocad and a dental milling machine, thanks to our expert team in this CAD CAM technology, we now know that dental prostheses manufactured with said technology have a more exact marginal adaptation, manufacturing times are much shorter, our With the exocad application, customers can see the designs we make before milling them, including showing them to the patient, to improve patient communication.

In addition, we achieve greater dental aesthetics, due to three important factors.

Process

The so-called CAD/CAM system (Computer Aided Design and Manufacturing) produces dental pieces through three fundamental processes:

  • Scanning: Through a laser that reproduces the model in 3D, to work on it later with greater ease.
  • Design: The bridge or crown is designed with the chosen material, with great precision, obtaining the best insertion axis and gingival margin.
  • Machining: The milling machine works on a block of the chosen material, sending an exact reproduction of the dental structure with the data sent by our technician.

In this sense, in the Biosmile Laboratory team of professionals we are aware and we are very clear that computer-assisted dentistry offers dentists, laboratory technicians and patients a series of quite favorable advantages. Thanks, for the most part, to the digital production chain that reduces treatment times, improves hygiene, allows stronger communication between laboratories and practices, regardless of the location of said party involved…
